Default Seatbelt issues

I just bought a 98 ram 1500 2wd 5.9 last week. There's alot of stuff that needs fix but this problem just started today. Both front seatbelts don't release. I've try everything to get them to release a couple hours later they started working but didn't last long (a trip around the block) while I was driving the seatbelt light came on then a clicking sound started from the driver and passenger side where the seatbelt rolls up. I now can't get them to release at alland there is no more clicking

has anyone else had this problem?

There is a seatbelt module located underneath the center seat. The clicking you are hearing are solenoids inside the seatbelt itself which when deenergized lock the seatbelt. The module recieves inputs from the airbag module and also has a rollover sensor inside of it (mine rattled so I took it apart, lol). There's also an ACC source to the module and a 12+ fed from the IOD fuse. I haven't had your particular problem, but hopefully this points you in the right direction!
