Removing.....
ok.. i forgot the torque wrench so i'll have to go get that after my wife gets home
i'll have to use her grocery getter (durango).
plenum , and intake manifold gaskets
oh yeah the reason i am here to get the bolt out of the intake manifold from removing the
thermostat and somehow i nocked the bolt right into the coolant hole in the intake manifold and i cant find it
and i didn't have any alcohol when that happened.
just a fumble fingers

The plenum kit is something you are going to need to order...I wouldn't take the intake manifold off without upgrading the the 1/4" milled aluminum cover. Otherwise you will be doing the same thing in another couple months.
The fuel line is difficult to remove, I never could mine off with my hands (I must be one of those girly men talked about earlier). I didn't know about the tool either. Ended up taking apart the fuel line quick disconnect (near frame rail under driver side door and pulling about 4 ft of fuel line out with the intake.
Your torque wrench needs to be a sensitive one...down to 10-12 ft*lbs...I think. You should also pick up one of the Haynes service manuals, its not the best manual I've ever owned but it gives a decent step by step as to how to remove the intake manifold
Also, I'm not really sure how much easier it is going to be to get the bolt once you have the intake off. I know it will give you better visibility but don't think that its going to just be laying out there as soon as you remove the intake.
Good luck!!

i will just keep walking to work and jogging home as i only live 1.2 miles from work
when i start tearing into it i will be on here to let you know how it goes.

with those instructions followed to the T... it is a breeze.. i did it on my 99 ram.. and on my 99 ram.. you needed that tool to get the fuel line off the rail.. that is unless.. your fingers are SMALL enough to get UNDER that lip.. between the line and the cap... and get ALL FOUR little clips that hold it in from the INSIDE of the line... which is PRECISELY the reason for the fuel line disconnect tool
the only 'girly' thing goin on was the other half complainin cuz of the greese on the wall.. and my cussin cuz the old intake gasket was such a pain in the *** to get cleaned off
also.. MAKE SURE TO GET NEW MANIFOLD BOLT SET!!!! DO NOT USE THE OLD ONES..
