passenger side floor wet
my g/f noticed cold water dripping on her foot yesterday on the way to the lake.. it was an extremely hot day and we had the a/c on max...got to the lake, lifted the floor mat and the passenger side floor was flooded under the mat... what caused this?
Maybe just condensation on some of the internal parts. I'm not sure if there's a drain line for the a/c in that area. If it were hot, it'd probably be a bigger problem cause that would be your heater core leaking.
there is a drain tube that goes through the firewall, beside the pcm and sort of under the ac stuff. a couple of common problems is 1) stopped up drain tube and 2) cracked/broken seal around the tube which lets the condensation run back into the cab. not sure, get another opinion - i think you can poke a wire or long zip tie into the tube to check for clog. some have attached a small drain to the tube, and used it to both flush the drain with clorox and turn it down to drain it away. contact forum member, waynec, for his opinion.
Your condonsate drain line is clogged. Under the hood on the passenger side, way down low is a small,<1/2" nipple sticking out. That's the drain. Shove a pencil or wire in and probe the tube to unclog it.

Trust me, I've done a million of 'em. But, it only works if the drain is truely clogged. If not, then it's something else.
BTW, why does that sound wrong?

I'm not sure what year your truck is and if anything changed as far as the A/C drain is concerned but on my 99 the drain sticks straight out from the firewall towards the fan. I also discovered that my carpet was wet and that water was standing in the back along the rear passenger corner. After reading for hours on this forum I found something that stated that due to the pressure under the hood while driving down the highway it was forcing the condensation back up the drain line. Was skepticle at first but bought a piece of rubber hose and a clamp and ran the drain line down and facing backwards. Have not had a drop of water in the cab since.I also checked for clogged drain and found nothing in it. It leaked in the cab until I put the hose on it. Jeff.
