Gas Gauge Issue
Today leaving my girlfriends i had 3/4 tank in my truck. About 5 minutes later i only have a half tank... THen i shut it off do what i gotta do then restart it and now my gas lights on and its way below E like i didnt even put the key in!! I know I have almost a near full tank, I drove home with it like this below E so i know i have fuel! Whats the deal??

Yea, pump/filter/regulator/sending unit are all 1 piece.
If you really, really, really need that gauge to work, than get it fixed, but the pump unit will run at least $250, plus whatever a shop will charge you to remove/reinstall.
This is a common problem (inaccurate readings/fluctuations/etc), which my truck suffers from, I just ignore it. I know how many gallons my tank holds, the average miles I get per gallon, do the math and fill up at (appx.)1/4 tank. I choose to wait until I need to replace the pump to replace the pump .
