I have a 01 Ram 1500 4x4 Offroad Sport and I wish to put on a grill guard or a Ranch Hand front end replacement on it. Everywhere I go online at least it says that the grill guard or front end replacement won’t fit on the Sport edition.
What is the reason for this?
The Offroad package has tow hooks but they don’t directly bolt to the frame there is an adapter piece that is bolted to the frame and then the tow hooks bolt onto that. The package also has fog lights.
I have no problem modifying, cutting or welding the bumper or plastic if this would allow me to put it on.
Any help would be appreciated.

 

You have to cut some slits in the bottom on your bumper to make it fit. Thats about it, go for it!
