Diameter of stock exhaust?
My 2001 exhaust is 3" throughoutEXCEPT where the Cat and Mufflerconnected. It decreased to 2.5". Ihad a guy cut the muffler and cat offpast the 2.5" collars and install a 3" in/out high flow muffler and cat.Now I have a relatively cheap (though ugly heat treated red and stock) 3" stainless exhaust system. Never worried much about looks under the vehicle. Guess I could get one of the longer stainless tips and nobody would be the wiser.
I have gone and looked under the truck and it doesen't look like it is 3in at the cat. I am just really trying to find out if I am going to have to replace my cat.
Is there a 3in cat that directly fits my truck?
I am going to run a 3in exhaust with a electric cut-out after the cat. The regular exhaust will come out at the back but above the fender where you can't see it.
Going to have a 2chamber flowmaster muffler.

Oh I was just doing (???) for more answers[8D]
Yeah I got what he said.
So if I am correct I was told it is 2in piping going into the dam cat (which is small) and 2.5 the rest.
