Default RE: MPG expectations

Well, my experiment with the new setup sorta went to crap. I had some really sweet numbers on the way out to Orlando but since I'd been gone all weekend and it was getting late the wife told me to get my butt back home ASAP. I did about 200 miles at 75-85 MPH all the way. There were SEVERAL full throttle, to the floor runs. The truck will pretty much only do 90, maxed out; I was a little disappointed by this. Anyways, even after driving pretty agressively all the way back, I filled up close to the house and ended up with a total tank average of 15.6 MPG which gave me 351 miles to the tank. I really wanted to get 400 miles to the tank and I'm sure it would have been possible if I had driven home just like I had driven up there. Keep in mind I've got 265's on; giving me a speedo error of 5 MPH. These are coming off very soon. Too big, too much weight. In theory, depending on where odometer gets it info, I could have done more miles than what was on the odometer. If this is true, my MPG could be better than what my calculations are showing.
