Something else to consider, the 9.25 has a speed sensor at the top of the pumpkin. The dana60 probably doesn't have this port and if it does it probably isn't the correct size. I'm not sure what problems this would cause but I've heard the speed sensor is used for the Cruise Control and several other ECU loops
hmm if the dana 60 dosent have the rear speed sencer then how duz the speedo work in it?
A D60 out of a 2500 or 3500 dodge might have the port for the speed sensor but this can vary with year, model, etc.. But, a random D60 from an old truck might not. I'm not even sure it would affect anything but its something you may need to consider. I'm no expert on the topic of sensor locations but I thought about doing the same thing only with portal axles from a Unimog. So I started thinking about all the possibile things that could go wrong...Murphy's Law always seems to be in full effect when I work on something.

To put the RWAL sensor on an older diff
requires drilling/tapping a hole at the top of the diff case for the sensor (easy)
and either buying the ring gear with the already tapped holes for the toothed wheel (easy)
or precisely drilling and tapping holes in the side of the old ring gear...doable at a machine shop but above the level of backyard work.

1994-1995 2nd Gen Rams don't use the RWAL sensor for the speedo and still have the 5 volt sensor and plastic gear set at the rear of the trans.
