What size is the adjuster for the rear band on a 46re tranmission ? What do you use ?

Are you asking about the Torx socket? I believe it's a #25. Make sure you have an INCH/lbs torque wrench to do the adjustment, NOT ft/lbs.

No - it's the rear band : looks like a square drive. Inside the pan.

5/16 and yes its "square" or 8 point

Glad to see this info. i have never changed the fluid and filter on an AT, but I wanted to adjust the bands as well.
