Default plenum on a 2000???

ok guys my buddy has a 2000 1500 with a 5.2 the plenum has never gone bad and he has dodged the death flash also. How is this possible? I went with him in 1999 to buy his truck. He is a good friend and I trust his word about the plenum the death flashnever hapenedeither.(no records for either)he keept all the paper work from the dealer every time.
Any way when did dodge really fix the plenum problem?

I really don't think they ever "fixed" the plenum problem. Your buddy is just a lucky guy that it hasn't went out, sometimes that happens.

As far as the death flash you can search through the forum here and in a few of them the PCM sticker that refers to the death flash is shown. If your buddy has that sticker, he has the death flash.

As I stated in my first post, do a search and you can find lots of info on the death flash. Here is one link that shows a photo of the sticker. Just scroll down the thread until you see it.
