If its a no-name brand intake on ebay, expect to have fitment issues.

I've got it on my 97 1500 318. Fitment was definately a BIG issue. The screw that comes with it to hold it down does not fit. It barely fits under the wiper cowl. Right now, I've got it secured with a couple of plastic wire-ties wrapped around the tb. However, even with all this work....the thing is awesome. Brought my rpm range WAY up. Now my motor goes up to the red line before shifting, giving me more hp and torque. If you don't mind it being a little ghetto....do it.

I don't know about the ebay intake system, but I do know that if you have a 5.9L it will definately respond to ANY intake mod you do. I personally have a K&N FIPK which was kind of pricy, but well worth it! I had no problems with fitting, and it made a HUGE difference (plus I am a believer in K&N, they have great products). I know there are other systems that are similar, but if you don't want to hassle with fitting and worry about your filter system falling off because of broken ties spend the extra money.

Hey thanks for the input...I think I am going to go with a name-brand intake. I don't really want to have fitment issues. From what I have heard, most CAI work about the same and show the same improvement. I found an Air F/X intake by PaceSetter for about $100. It looks like a good quality intake. I tried to locate a Durango or Dakota intake from the junkyard to build my own but could not find any wrecked ones. I'll get this one and more than likely modify it - build an air box, add a ram air tube, put k&n filter on (if the one that it comes with is crappy), etc.
