Hi,

I have a 1995 1500-SLT 360, 2WD auto, 120K miles.

Yesterday it died and rolled to a stop. It would not start again so I lifted the hood to look for anything obvious but found nothing. I got back in and it started. I drove about 100 yeards and it died again. I found that if I wait about 2 minutes it will restart for a short while then die again.

I had it towed home and this morning when cold it will not start at all. Plenty of gas, electrics are all working fine.

Check Engine light flashes 55 when in diagnostic mode and that's all.

Can anyone throw some light on where to start looking please?

Somethin like this happened to me a few months back and I had it towed up to the shop and turns out it was just my air filter and also the throttle body had a lot of dirt up in it so it wasnt gettin enough air or somethin like that. maybe thats the problem??

If you have adequate fuel pressure at all times, even during no start then I'd check the ignition system starting with the coil, the wiring to the coil, and then the wires. Something might be happening there.
