ughh Ring gear
yes all that was done..hubs are off..calipers are off and axles are off.. and i pulled the caps off and marked them so i know which way they go..the assembly slides( probaly cause of no Capsbut it wont come out....i guess i just need to put some more pressure on it...now how hard is it goin to be to get back in?
It won't be hard to put back in at all.
Just put the carrier in place in the housing with both bearing cups on and then tap the shims into place. They will have some resistance to going in, but if you install the entire shim pack as one unit, you can tap them into the space between the bearing cup and the housing fairly easily. They should be tighter than you can push in with your fingers, but should tap in easily.
Hope you get it fixed soon, good luck.
