Thats not a CAI. Get a bigger filter. The stock panel flows better than that.

My foot on the gas says otherwise. I used the same diameter pipe and filter. except for the filter style. K & N uses a regular 3.5 inch cone filter. I have a dual cone filter on mine. You can believe me or not. It's all the same to me. But I'm telling you, the pick up is way better than stock and it actually shifts smoother. I'm hoping to get a little better response when I put my heat shield up.

well you gotta figure it would take in more volume of air than the stock box and filter right, sure the air wouldnt be cold, but it should be better than stock, at least it doesnt require duct tape like some of the hack jobs Ive seen so far in my quest for DIY CAI

Not sure it would flow any better, that hat that mounts to the TB looks pretty restrictive.... although, it's not like the stock design is all that good either. Would it be better than stock? Only a dyno would tell.
