left rear squeak

Default left rear squeak

jumped in my bed to get something today and noticed something on the left rear suspension is squeaking. but only when i jumped in the bed. think its just the leaf squeaking? or is the shock taken a turn for the worse?

My Dad used to check the shocks by tugginga backcorner of thebed down and away from the center of the truck and then let go. If theA$$ end wiggles all over, the shocks are done and you're just riding on springs.

Not overly scientific, but it works if they're bad.

probably not shock. check leaf spring bushings and between-leaf spacers for squeak there's a tsb somewhere about the spacers... but give everything a good shot of wd40 or grease.
edit.. also check rubber bushing in shocks bolts (smear a little grease on it.)

I use grease. I think I posted it some time ago. But what I did was purchased a grease needle, put it on my grease gun. Pry the leafs apart a little bit and inject a good quality grease (marine type or something that won't wash away easily).
It will work for 3-6 months up here in the salt belt of eastern canada.
