front driveshaft?

Default front driveshaft?

ok well since my truck is ripped apart i figured id do my fornt pinion seal..well i took the straps off for the fornt driveshaft to front differential..and it wont move off the pinion flange..i dont want to take the whole driveshaft out cause i only need the front of it off so i can do the seal...so do i actualy have to take the whole front driveshaft off or what?

No, get a try par and just pry it out...the u joints sit there for years so they get stuck in kinda good. Nothing a pry bar can't handle.

ok good thanks...so i dont got to take the whole driveshaft out..would it be ok just to take the front off..and still leave the other half in the transfer case...all im doing is the seal so it should be only around a half n hour i guess

Yes, but tape the u-joint so that the caps cannot come off.

BTW, if you think the u-joint is hard to get out of the yoke, have fun getting the yoke off the pinion....hehehehe
