5.9 360 just shutting off?
i had a 97 dakota with a 5.2 in it and it did the same thing. crank it up jusat fine put it in reverse or drive go a few feet and it shut off. i found out that my fuel filter and all that was clogged up. got it cleaned out ran some sea foam in it. never had another problem. may or may not help.
My 1995 Dodge Ram just stopped running. I don't hear a fuel pump whine when I turm key on. Can someone please tell me how to replace fuel pump on a 1995. Should I drop tank or remove the bed?
Thanks,
Dina

What fault codes are you getting? I had a similar problem on a lexus until it totally died and it turned out to be an open circuit in the rotor, not visible, I had to find it with a meter. If its been a while, it cant hurt to do a full blown ignition update.( plugs, wires cap, rotor, check coil agaist specs and change if nessesary.)
Ok sorry its takin me so long to tell you what was wrong with the truck. i ended up driving over to the dealer ship before they did any work on it and i bought a new coil for it...so i did that put that in and it fired right up...so now im thinking will it say running? well i guess that did the trick because its been about 2 weeks now and it hasnt shut off on me once. i guess the coil was a easy fix and the problem the hole time.. thanks for all your help!
