At this point seems that the Scanner tool is my last hurdle. As the truck doesn't drive, I need to find a way to get it to a dealer or beter yet a local shop with scanner. The smoke has cleared up alot. but still runs rough. you can hear the throttle body suckin air then smooth out then suck air again it does this continuously. So the DBR is used for the 94 year trucks aswell?

if you did a complete swap, most of thetime when it is a new or pcm that has been unplugged for over roundabout two weeks, then the computer needs to create settings, how long has the engine been running since the swap?. Most of the time what you need to do is run it for about 20-30 mins and play with the throttle to get it to idle without dying. Then when it will idle take it out and drive it, 10 to 20 miles, be sure if it is a auto trans to manually shift the gears and kick overdrive on and off several times. The time between when you did the swap and now is the time the computer is trying all kinds of settings, just make sure that you have the right computer. Also do you get any check engine codes.
