I actully just had this same problem with my truck on the highway yesterday. I was going down the road and the truck misfired 3 or 4 times (gunshot LOUD), and as I pulled over it died. After 6 hours of messing with it on the highway, and a tow home. today got a new distributor (didn't fix the problem) come to find out the wires going to the ignition coil were loose and not getting a good connection. Fixed that and it fired right up and no issues.......I thought I would post this cuase I didn't know if WTL had found the problem yet.....Just an idea.
