changing tire size

I now have 245/75/16 on my truck Im going to 265's But I can only buy 2 for rite now and 2 later . So Im woundering my truck is 4wd will it hurt my transfer case If I run 265 on the back for now . I dont think it will unlessI lock it in 4wd but just want to make sure .

It wont matter one bit unless you put it in 4wd on pavment. 4wd off roadin wont hurt it. Also if your lookin for bigger tire size, 285/75/16 on the stock rims fit perfect and dont rub on my 2000 quad cab 4X4 and these are BFG mud terrains.

Ya I like the way they look with 285's but I like my gas mileage too . So ill be ok to run it like this its only going to be for a week un till i get payed again lol I never use my 4wd any ways

PS...my truck came stock with the 265/75/16s. Was yours different?.

I have a 5.2 all stock but a flow master and the round air filter swap but If I figured it right I get about 17 mpg 1/2 high way and 1/2 city driving
