How do y'alls trucks weigh so much? Mine weighs 5250lbs. with me sitting in it and the toolbox installed.
is yours 2wd or 4wd?

I can't even see that white truck weighing 9,000 lbs unless it had a cummins and a load of sand in the bed.

just googling it quickly, the 2004 Ram 3500 4wd, 4-door, long-bed dually, with a cummins diesel has a weight of7585 lbs. that's a crapload of truck right there
door jam states: 1995 2500 HDLong BedGVW 8800 lbs. with extra leafs and bigger tires i estimate 9000.
it weighs enough that i dont have to have vehicle emissions in georgia.

I was going to replace my lenses awhile ago, cause they had this thick yellow **** all over them. sanded the lenses down with 2000 grit sandpaper, then 2500 grit then put this polish on them I found at autozone, and they cleared right up.

Check out a junkyard for that corer light. They stay pretty clean even with age, and it's your best bet on a good price.
Thanks a lot!!
I have both a left & right sitting in my garage taking up space if your interested in them (or one of them), just have to put tape on the box...

I'd say 9000 lbs is a little much. Mine weighs about 5600 and that is with a LOT of chains, tools and other stuff in the toolbox, and me in it. Muddin is all about the entertainment value - it's all good as long as nobody gets hurt. I don't do it anymore - don't want to clean it off and don't have any buddies to pull my *** out when I get stuck.....[:'(]

Your GVW is not your empty weight, that is the maximum weight that the truck is rated for. This means with a load on. Your empty weight is called a Tare weight and your payload is called your net weight, combined they equal your gross weight (AKA: GVW). My truck (see sig for details) plus a tandem equipment trailer plus a 4 door pickup grossed me out at 14,500 and I know the 4 door weighed in at over 5,000 lbs. This was with 8 wheel and tire combos in the bed, my tool box full, and random other sheet metal. You want to know your tare weight when talking about how much your truck weights.

Haha, I found this funny when that white truck was claimed at over 9,000 pounds. I know mine is only a half ton reg long box with the gas motor, but no way that white truck weighs double mine.

I get on the scale at 2.67 tons. That white truck would be over 4.5 tons.

I don't buy it...

the GVW stands for Gross Vehicle Weight... meaning, truck, all cargo & passengers should not exceed this number. His truck probably weighs in at 5500-6000 lbs empty.

for a good reference, mine weighs 7200 lbs empty as measured on the dump yard scale. '05 diesel QC 4x4...
