hey everyone, i got a 2" leveling kit for my truck and now i need bigger tires, i want to get a package cause its cheeper and i found a couple that sound like a pretty good deal to me. i want 33's so i found a set of 33/12.5/15 interco traxs tires on 15x10 mickey thompson classic 2's on desertrat.com for $968 does anyone have expierience with these tires? i live in illinois and i heard these were good with snow and ice and thats my biggest concern, i dont do enough mudding to worry about getting mud terrain tires and wat not. and will the 15x10 wheels give me enough spacing that my tires wont rub? my buddies got a 2001 1500 with 305/70/16 interco ssr's on his stock wheels and they rub like a bitch not even at full turn and i dont want that, so will i be alright with these rims or no? the traxs's are no where near as nubby as his either so that might help but idk, any input would be awesome thanks..

 

Not sure how the 33X12.5 will go. They will probably rub on you.
I got the 285/75/16s (33X11) TrXus m/ts ans they don't rub at all unless I lock the wheel out going over a bump or something. As for the tires, they've done me good so far. Don't know about snow and ice yet. We'll find out this winter.

 

mite be pushing it.. is your friends truck stock ? hell just swap his and yours and see if they rub on your truck...hell with a 6" on my truck im gonna run bfg A/T...

 

yea my buddies truck is stock, the tires rub on the upper suspension arm, im going to have a 2" level kit with mine though and also aftermarket rims but idk if that helps or not, thats why im asking the "experts" lol

 

Depends on what backspacing you get on your wheels. A lower number backspacing will push the tires farther out away from your suspension allowing you to run a wider tire. Find out what backspacing is on those wheels and that should give us an idea of how close you're cutting it.

see if you can get a the package in an 8 inch rims, with 4.5 inches of backspacing. that will allow you to run those 33's without any rubbing issues at all. Only problem i see is that you can't run the 15 inch rims on your truck unless you grind your calipers. Your going to need 16's. 305/70/16 is pretty much consider a 33x12.50x16
