P0420 is a converter efficiency code. It could possibly be a failing rear O2 sensor but most likely your catalytic converter has failed and needs replacement.

Uh-oh, the dreaded catalytic converter code, hate to see that. Everytime I see it it reminds me of when I had a CRV and it's catalytic converter went bad. Tooo much money, so I sold it.
