Stereo hook up....
Okay guys well I have just fit in my dual 8 Box and amp....that is about as far as I know....I have a install kit and I wanted to get it all hooked up before I bought my Deck so all I have to do is plug it all in...has anyone ran all the wires and know how to to do that..I.E best way for wire runs etc...
Also how do I take off the dash to get to the back of my deck ....

The dash should just pull out and there will be 4 bolts holding the factory deck in, take care of those and unplug it and then all you should need is a wiring kit that has a plug for dodge tucks.... As for runnning the wires i found the cleanest way is to take off the plastic things on the floor (by the doorsils where the carpet ends) and run the power and speaker wires under that plastic piece. Then just find a place to run your power wire thru the firewall (preferably on the drivers side because the battery is on that side) and all you should have to do is plug in the speaker and remote wires
not sure what year your truck is, but with my 96 the black dash trim will pull off once you have removed the screws that hold the cup holders and ash tray in place. As for the best place to run the wires i'd just put them under the plastic trim along the carpet. you should unscrew the trim along the door.once you get up to the front you can do anything and it not be seen
all above are right, just make sure you run, a power, your rca's, and the remote lead. If you forget the remote lead your amp wont turn on when the head unit is on. find a safe ground by the amp somewhere, make a good clean connection, any fraied wires can ark on the carpet and you wont have a ram much longer, my buddy burned his jeep to the ground doing that
the dash has the 4 screws as stated above.. it pops off after that, if you have an aux. power port like i do, be mindful of the wires coming out the back, unplug them gently..
i took off my door-sills (little plastic pieces) and ran the power, remote for the amp, and amp signal wires underneath the carpet under the drivers seat (accomplished with a ultility knife to cut a small slit, a coat hanger and alot of pushing to get through the insulation) and under the sill
ran the power cable through a very large body plug that i found on the drivers side (about the size of a cup-holder) mounted power lead to the hot side of the fuse block..
sealed around hole in body plug with black RTV
sealed the 1/8" of sheet metal screws that were sticking through the body used to mount the amp with the same black RTV
ran the remote wire and amp signal wires under the dash to the backside of head unit (i believe, i cant remember exactly where it hooked up)
ran amp above carpet under drivers seat, grounded to large drivers seat bolt..
amp is currently under my center console/seat. works like clockwork.
i used this install kit: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...&p_status=
with these on the end of the power and ground cables to the amp:

WHATEVER YOU DO: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT RUN YOUR POWER CABLE ON THE LEFT SIDE NEAR THE PCM
the large magnetic field created by the heavy guage wire may off-set the PCM and can cause many problems..
hope this helps
