Default Skipping woes

My 95 5.2 skips quite often during acceleration, and sometimes just cruising down the road. Only skips for a fewseconds, and stops skipping if I let off the gas (usually) or hammer down to the floor. Replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, with no relief. Dont think its the motor or distributor( Just replaced motor, installed another distributor). Fuel pump and coil are within 2 years old. No inline fuel filter, The only things I can think of is either an intermittentconnection feeding my ignition coil, or possibly a clogged sock on the filter. Any ideas?

PS.. A friend of mine gave me a TB Spacer, I'm not gonna say go buy one, its not a GREAT help, but I thoughtit was noticeable (slightly) differance. I believe the skipping started a couple weeks after the spacer was installed. Any help will be appreciated.

PPS... Does it more often when below quarter tank,.. or just normal driving after being hard on the throttle for a few minutes.

If you think it's a fuel supply problem get (borrow or buy) a fuel pressure test gauge. hook it up to your fuel rail test port and run the gauge and hose out under the hood and tape the gauge to the windshield so you can read it while you drive.
Go for a test drive and watch the fuel pressure. it should stay around 35-40 psi.
see if it drops when this "skipping" occurs. if the pressure stays constant ad within range it's not your problem?

Ever have the fuel injectors flushed?

UPDATE!! When the tank is filled, it does it more often as the fuel level drops... doesnt really do it at all untill i get to half tank, then starts skipping a little, then once i get below quarter tank, it is more and more frequent. Im guessing fuel pump or pressure regulator/filter assembly. What does everyone else think?

I would wonder about the fuel tank cap. May not allow air back in to replace teh missing gas. When it starts doing it, I would take the cap off and put back to see if it goes away for a time
