Default Questions about the Dodge....

Well today I was really really bored so I decided to go out and take a look down the 50mm TB. Turns out theres like a pretty nice dried up pool of oil in there. Didnt seem so good at all. Well I already have the plenum plate off hughes website w/ gasket and bolts! Thank god i ordered that. But I have2 questions and 1 favor to ask... Since there is oil leaking badly in there does that affect my performance in my truck? Will it drive noticably better if i fix this problem? Also since im going to be yanking the intake off can someone please get me a detailed instruction on how to cut and grind your own intake manifold? or maybe just a link... Thnx guys!

Here's the thread Silver_Dodge just started onhis intake mod that he's in the process of doing.

The worse the leak gets the more it should hurt the performance of your truck. When I did my plenum, the leak wasn't that bad so I didn't notice that much of a difference after fixing it.

Ya the worse it gets the worse your performance will get. Your plugs will foul, your pre-cat o2 sensor will foul, it will start to ping, gas mileage will go down, etc. How long does this take?, Guess it depends on how bad the leak is. Maybe a few months.
