I have never dealt with installing traction bars, but these say universal, what is involved with installing these? Does it take any fabrication? Drilling?

Not familiar with the 2WD. As far as the 4WD goes the spring is on top of the axle and a standard traction bar will not work.
might want to check with cal-tracs or the set-up that is on the viper trucks
