Im looking to install a set of headers on my 318. Any suggestions on them. Performance or sound issues?

Mopowar convinced me to go with the Pacesetter Longtube headers with their Y pipe. You'll want to go with different gaskets as the pacestters leak from multiple reports here.
Felpro gaskets are good, make sure they're metallic or at least esemi metallic.

The Mopar Performance tri-y design headers for 5.2/5.9 V8s have gotten pretty good reviews. These were made under contract for MP by either Mike Leach originally or Positive Performance in later years.

There seems to be a consensus in Concord NC area engine shops that tri-y headers with very long primary tubes give the best overall performance from low to high rpms.

Gains from headers on 5.2/5.9V8 engines seem to be in the 3% range when catalytic converters and mufflers are behind them, rising to 6% when completely open pipes are used.

I like my hedman headers, definetly increase in power, but the nice thing was they bolted to the stock downpipes....dont use there gaskets though, I used felpro semi metallic and they work great.....has anyone tried copper gaskets?
