Are you sure it should have 225s? Some of these trucks, like mine, came with 265s.

To answer your question, check out this site: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos
This will tell you the differences that tire sizes have on your speedometer.

Those radar guns have like a 6-7 mph fault, which you can use to your advantage if you choose to fight the ticket. Also make sure the cop has speed caliberation chart for the radar. half the timethe cop doesn't even show up and the other half the time they drop the points and you just have to pay the fine. Which is why you should alway fight your tickets.

But with the differnce in size... when you're going 60 you're probably going 70, that's more significan't the faster you go, less significan't the slower you go. So remember you're actually getting better gas mileage than you think you are, and your truck actually has more miles than the odometer says.Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
225/75-16 6.6in 14.6in 29.3in 92.0in 689 0.0%
265/75-16 7.8in 15.8in 31.6in 99.4in 637 8.1%

buy a chip programmer, and adjust the tire height, you wont need to worry about a miscalibrated speedo.

Have a 98 QC 2wd came with 245/75-16s as a option and the computer was calibrated for this size from the factory
. This was the base tire size for a 98 4wd.
