I know youre not supposed to do that but, I tried to put it into 4wd on the parking lot at work real quick and every few feet it made a little clank. So I pushed back into 2wd. Will it something not line up if it's on dry pavement. shouldnt it go into 4wd if you wanted to drive around the parking lot once to make sure everything works?

It should go into 4wd regardless of whether your on pavement or not. perhaps you had your wheels turned and it was causing some binding while trying to engage?

Yeah.. I'll try it again before I leave. And motorbreath.... I appreciate any reminders. You never know when I could have a short circuit!
I usually can just put into 4wd everyonce in a while to make sure everyhting is moving around right?..hmm..

Mine would shift into 4H while going no more than 55 for about the first year I had it. Then it required slowing down more and more and now it's easiest just to be in neutral when I do it.
