Default O2 Sensor

Can anyone tell me if they had problems with thier o2 sensors? The truck was running rough when first stated in the morning, (or when it sat for a while). This went on for a couple of weeks. When I shut it off and restarted the engine the truck ran fine. No codes came up. I took the truck in because of tranny problems and had the dealer look at it, they said the stalling was the sensors, I thought this was odd considering no codes came up, any input would be appreciated.

Have the dealer show POSITIVE PROOF that it is the O2 sensor, i.e. scanner readings. NEVER take their word for anything!

Also, O2 sensors do nothing till warmed up so your starting problem is not likely due to it.

I'd guess your getting a littlemoisture somewhere, is it worse in the morning after you hit the dew point or on a rainy day?
Try dielectric grease on allspark plug wireconnections (at plugs, coil, and distributor) and check the distributor for cracks.
After the engine heats up it boils off the moisture and so a restart later isn't a problem.

I had an O2 code for about a week. Here's what turned off my engine light. I ran my gas empty, put in a can of Seafoam w/8 gallons of gas and my light was off 2 days later. It's been fine ever since and that was about a month and a half ago.
Could'nt hurt to try.

I think this thread jinxed me. I had to run Seafoam again last night to get rid of the O2 code.

I wonder if I should remove the O2 & give it a good cleaning?

yes, cleaning the o2 is a good thing as long as its still serviceable... dead ones dont come back too easily. make sure you use CRC electronic components cleaner and be liberal with it, spray all of the exhaust stream openings real good, let it dry and then reinstall...

an 07 with 8200 miles?

Why not just take it back to the dealer for warranty service?
