Default HELP!!!! Fuel system Maybe???

Ok i have a 2000 ram 5.2

the problem is sometimes when i accelerate and when i start from a dead stop or hard turn like onto another road, my truck wants to stall out. if i kinda play with the gas pedal, it sometimes helps. but when it doesnt help, it will stall out and will not start back up for a few minutes. if i try starting it immediately, i have to floor it and turn the key for a few seconds and then black smoke pours out of the tailpipes and the engine just sounds like crap. it revs real hard but still doesnt have enough power to move the truck.but if i let the truck sit for a few mins, it will crank up fine. still hesitates and wants to stall out sometimes tho. please help i have changed spark plugs and wires, replaced computer, i have a brand new crate motor from autozone(everything stock 5.2l) i have checked the thing on the fuel rail to make sure im getting good fuel pressure. could it be trash in the tank? i have also used several cans (not all at the same time) of seafoam. it seemed to help for a few days. so now i am afraid to leave town in my truck cause im afraid it wil start acting up. thanks in advance

Put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail, there should be a fitting on the drivers side by the TB. It should read around 50 psi but if the regulator has gone bad it will be much higher. Unfortunatly the regulator is on the fuel pump in the tank. I do not believe that the computer can deliver enough fuel to flood the engine without the cel light coming on from a shorted O2 sensor or something else.

check your o2 heater fuse(s) and your o2 heater relay, then the wiring to all of the o2's... should have 4 of them. had a similar stumbling problem and the o2 heater fuse was blown. I dont recall the black smoke on mine, just would stumble and want to die
