Default Lower Rad. Hose

Ok folks here is the question....I replaced the lower hose, did everything we are taught to do in this situation but here is the odd thing...the truck is not overheating but I am hearing a swishing noise like water movingand I also noticed the lower hose was not getting hot. Any suggestions?

the swishing/sloshing is air in the heater core. try letting the truck idle for an extended time with radiator cap off. some people say parking on an uphill slope helps, but i don't think it makes any difference. squeeze the top hose every once in a while. monitor temp gauge and make sure it doesn't overheat. top off radiator as needed. then close it up and fill overflow to max line and drive. sloshing should be reduced. it should go away completely in a couple of days.

I've also heard you should turn the Heater on Maxheat when burping the system, helps get the air out of the heater core was my understanding. And the lower hose is the return hose to the engine, if it's hot, your radiator isn't doing what it's supposed to. It's the upper hose that should be hot.
