I've always liked the look of the srt8. Good choice.

When you are budgeting your monthly payment, make sure you find out how expensive the insurance is. Insurance companies don't seem to like young males and high powered cars. The insurance for 01 Mustang GT was not all that cheap per month. I think it was close to $170 a month with State Farm, clean driving record and multiple cars etc. It only became resonable when I turned 25.

now if you dont want to wait and want to go fast and get a cool lookin car...GET AN LS1!!!!!! For the cost of your downpayment you could have a better lookin car IMHO (firebird atelast) and be goin faster, gettin better mileage, and cheeper insurance. Ls1s are going for about 10k anymore. which imo is really a good deal. I plan on getting one when i get out of school.

 

Well im not the one to brag at all but my dads 100 % Disabled so i automatically get a $40,000+ Scholarsip to any school. They pay like 600-800 a month throughout your college years. Also i have a 4.0 GPA and a 27 ACT score. If i can get a full ride to OSU or any state college i can just live off of the money i get from the scholarship...But i do agree with you all on waiting but the urge is so hard to refuse.... You all know what teenagers think and how they lack the patience....

 

if you went to my highschool (years ago) and drove a brand new SRT8 in the student parking lot... it would be grounds for an ***-slappin ... strictly out of jelousy

also: take this with a grain of salt.. there have been COUNTLESS times that I think to myself "why the hell did i go and do that" in relation of not jumping at chances when i was younger.. had few chanced to buy some sweet cars and toys and didnt b.c ... well.. my dad was always like "you dont need that,, save your money"

Again i dont like to brag but a little about me is Ive never smoked, never drank any alchohol (except on my g-mas 50th anneversary i had 1 glass of wine)never donedrugs andive never had sex. Now before people think im either gay or missing out..... Sex is against my religion because it is pre-marital. (so im straight) But i also just sat down one day and promised God that i wouldnt for him. I kinda have a thing where iat least give up something for God. But i hear what you mean no one from 10th grade up girls or boys are virgins except one fat person.... and maybe 80% of the senior class has done marijauna, crack, herione, or steeriods etc..... so i feel pretty good about myself sometimes....but my addiction is going fast but its better than drugs and im sure it will pass.....

 

Being addicted to trucks and cars is better than drugs and sex.

Seriously, keep your head straight and I would hold off on the car until getting done with school. Drive a "beater" so to speak until you're done, and THEN treat yourself when you graduate.

Trust me on this.
