I have been wondering this too. I have a 4X4 so I was thinking about finding a disc rear axle with the same ratio and just swapping them 'cause I pull a lot of trailers and need that extra power

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just switch axles?

Might be cheaper i don't know, i would rather just buy the parts to convert insted of calling every wrecker in town. Plus you have to think about man hours. I would think it would take less time to convert them as oposed to a rear axel swap.
