I went to visit my buddy at his school yesterday, and we went out at night and were practicing our launches for the track today, and im only on my second launch and all the sudden my truck LURCHES foreward. I look back and theres a big puddle and line of breakfluid on the ground. So we limped back to his appt. and checked it out. It burst right at the gas tank, so i had to drop the tank to get to it. I didnt have any of my tools with me, so i had to wait till the morning to get some pipe cutters and flaring tools. I cut the line, and spliced in a new one, but I dont think i got enough of it, because its still leaking. very slowly, but its still leaking just a tad. It was very very annoying.

Im still going to the track...so wish me millions of tons of luck. Ill let ya know how i do.

 

Good luck, put some tape or a rag around that though. You don't want to get any fluid on the track even it is only a drop.

OH and BTW you could have posted this on the new OT thread I started.

 

if the track official see's even a drop come off that rear end kiss your run goodbye they will prob throw you out

 

Yea, its automotive related so i figgured its not OT.

but anyways, 15.005 DAMNIT! so close. I have to rethink the way my scoop seals to my hood because the air blew the foam all over the engine and it didnt ram the air like i wanted. I raced a GTX hemi ram and beat him. it was a very close race. beat him by .15 or so. I have videos that ill post later. they are actually on my friends camera so when he gives em, ill post up.

 

how hard was it to drop the tank and such?i just had the same problem tonight.. only i was just braking haha.

 

check the DIY links for the fuel pump swap... dropping the tank is easy.

 

15.005, not bad thats really good actually. It must feel awesome though, going that fast in a truck and all.

yea 15.005 isnt bad, but its not good. I dont like that the gtx hemi being in full weight was so close. I have to come up with a better way to seal my hoodscoop to my tray. After thesecond run I realised that the pressure of the air just blows the foam ducting all over my engine bay, so the second run i didnt have any ram air girr.

Once you do those mods in your sig I think you will be able to run close to a 14 flat, just take your time. Think of this way, you bought your ram for how much ? The GTX was how much? Weigh it out.
