Indy, I still think if you'd have taken those laxatives, you'd have broken 15.000.

I noticed your looking into 3.92 gears. Are you looking for just the right balance of off the line plus high end gearing? Are you running 245s right now or are you using thesmaller 225s for racing?what are your RPM's running at the end of the 14 mile? if you have any headroom you might want to consider 4.11s depending on the tire size. Just a thought.

Bouncer88, was that 3" Y pipe your running with the Pacesetters theY pipe from Pacesetter that matches the headers, or was it a custom job?

I have not installed it yet but it is the Y-Pipe that came with the headers I bought.

If you get a new line with the right size fitting for the rear, You can replace the whole rear section without dropping the tank. Mine connects under the front floor board area. That way it is less chance to leak in a hard place to get to. The clip behind the tank is a pain to get loose though.

the t56 swap hasent been done as far as i know, but the only custom things are going to be; pilot bearing, bellhousing adapter, crossmember, and driveshaft. So, as far as that is concerned its no biggie. The computer may be the biggest issue out of anything. If im going to do a manual swap, i want the t56 for that .5:1 second overdrive gear so i can run something higher than 4.11s, maybe 4.56s, and still get good highway rpms. Aside from the fact that its hard to destroy without making 450ish whp.

i have 275/60r17s. Thats the factory size. I was at englishtown raceway today for the swapmeet, and they had a cheep set of american racing wheels in a 5.5x5 bolt pattern that was a 15x10 that i was going to get and put 28" slicks on there, but the guy refused to break the set. As for the fronts....I saw a jeep grand cherokie with a spare, and it got me thinkin...is the grand cher. a 5.5x5 bolt pattern, because if it is, ill just use two of their spares as fronts for the track. As far as my rpms are concerned, its really low, like 4200 or something, because i have to shift into 3rd, and not only do i have to let off the accelerator for it to shift, but it bogs at an indicated 95ish mph(which is really like 85), which kills my trap speed because its like the last 300 ft that it just takes a dump. If you check out my full throttle run with open headers on my photobucket account you can see how it bogs at that speed. Basicly, next season its gears, cam/intake/pcm, posi, and slicks. Im hoping that will bring it down to 14.5s. Either way, Im 100% confident on 14.9s if I can stop that foam from blowing arround

Would it be possible to put the pan and TB on a TB spacerand compact the foam even tighter to try to keep it in place?

Or possibly some sort of collar like on a spring form cooking pan that could set in the tray. What's the dimensions of the pan andthe height of the foam?

Basicly what I need is a section of foam thats 6" tall...mildly hard foam, that I can wrap arround in a horseshoe shape. Once I have that in place I need a metal band to wrap arround the foam that seals the pan, so that it wont go anywhere. The problem is that its not one connected piece, its a 3 piece thing. I have one section siliconed to the hood itself, which doesnt move at all. The other 2 sections are just held on by a lip thats about 1/8th of an inch tall. The big section covers 3/4s of outside of the tray, and the other is the rear 1/4 of the tray, so what happens is that the rear section gets blown out, which in turn takes pressure off of the larger section, and then that just gets blown out real easy. Either I want a larger piece of foam and a band, or I am going to go with some air ducting that fits the throttle body and fits the hole in the hood. The only problem with that is that I havent found one that will clear the bend thats needed, and on the other hand, I dont have the tools to make sheet metal things like that
Im pritty confident that i have atleast another 5 hundreths in it if not another tenth. Im just gonna try again when it gets a little colder. Oct. 9th or 16th is when Im trying again, weather permiting.
