Default IAC question plz hlp.

ok should the iac make alot of noise at idle like its a turbo or a whistle? its a new one.

A new IAC may not help you much if the IAC plunger sealing surface in the throttle body isn't clean. To do a good job of that you'll have to remove the throttle body. There's a DIY on the site that goes into some detail. I just did this to my '95 Ram 5.2 and it was easy. As for the whistling sound, mine didn't make any noise, so I can't comment on that.

Mine makes a hissing sound because my buddy thought it would be cool to push it in and out, now I need a new one but it is honestly no big deal.

make sure you didn't forget the oring around the outside of the IAC body. that can cause some whistling.

it should not whistle... if you hear a whistle, your TB hat is not sealing on the TB. this is the cause 99% of the time. check the gasket on the TB/Hat and make sure it's not torn.
