A heads up if your looking for a used Ram
that's true, and I have had some salvaged vehicles before but I rebuilt them so I knew they were perfectly fine. I have no clue who rebuilt this and to what extent the damage was so I just didn't feel safe driving my children around in it and don'thave the cash to tear it down and rebuild it again...that's the only reason I got rid of it. I wanted the excursion only because it was a steal of a deal on a turbo diesel fully loaded model that I couldn't pass up, plus I knew the guy that traded it in so I knew it was in perfect cond.
I'm not knocking the truck at all....I loved it and as some of you know it's my second gen 2 ram...and won't be my last....In my years in the auto industry I have seen some pretty intersting things that some backyard mechanics do for fixes, and on a truck of this size all it takes is one grade 5 bolt where a grade 8 should have been or one nut over torqued to the point that the bolt is stretched and weakend.....with a 3 year old and a 5 week old son I couldn't take that chance.
