Default Occaisionally Dropping Some Cylinders

I have a 2001 w/V-10.

I have noticed when listening to the engine idle, it will occaisionally blub, as it drops a cylinder, doing this sometimes, but not always. I am concerned by what happened the other day when pulling my boat and trailer up the ramp from the harbor, the engine actually chugged like it had lost a couple to three cylinders, but smoothed out once I had reached the top of the ramp and the engine was no longer under a load.

Before I go buy a bunch of parts, is this just a plugs and wires issue, or is it going to be more serious?

Any opinions wlecomed.

Thanks.

i would say check your wires and plugs first, maybe the cap and rotor then move on from there

There is no cap and rotor on a V10.
