94 Ram 5.2 Feul Related Problem...
1994 1500 Ram with the 5.2
It doesn't start right up like it always used to so I turned the ignition switch on and off 10 times before cranking the engine thinking that this would prime the fuelpump. It finally started and I was able to limp it in 4-low (by fluttering the throttle)to my garage...Then replaced the fuel pump with a new one. The problem remains the same.
NextI pulled off the air cleaner and put a couple of shot glasses full of gas down each barrel. It started right up and ran great for about 20 seconds..the the rpms got low and it finally quit. I repeated this shot glass method and got the same results...this leads me to believe that the problem is lack of fuel or at the very least some kind of fuel system related problem. Thanks in advance for the help.
