You have to drill out the brass inserts.

Alrighty, I did it...

I dident see that you had to drill them out, I just wanted to check before I did it...

Mine was also at .5 volts, I put it to .75. I dont feel and better performance, like that it accelerates faster or anything... but the little quirks about this tranny that always made me mad are gone!!!!
Mine used to, when you were on the gas kinda hard, and you let off it wouldent downshift right away, it would wait liek 1 or 2 seconds..
Also, say you were going like 45mph and you wanted to speed up alittle bit, if you gave it enough gas to unlock the tc it would also downshift, but then instantiously it would go back to the gear it was in... wasent a big deal but just kinda was annoying...
It feels like the shifts are at better times when at low throttle, and they actually feel alittle firmer... mine were always really light when at lower thottle, but would firm up real nice when you were on it a little.

Just performed this mod as well, very easy to do. My original measurment was .592 but I figured what the hell, do the mod. Now the tps is measuring .734 but dont really notice any difference. I'll have to drive her around and see if the shifting is better like what some people described.

Only hard part was shoving a piece of thin wire between the outside insulation and the wire insulation to get to the connector to get a reading on the digital meter.

i did the adjustment on mine a couple days ago. my stock reading was .66, i upped it to .75. i noticed a little better pickup from a stop &the abnormal shifting my trans was doing has stopped.since it only took about 20 minutes to do (including 10 minutes to find my digital voltmeter, haha) i'd say it was worthwhile.

My TPS voltage was initially .62, so I drilled the metal inserts bigger. I was then able to get .66 or .51 volts so I went with the .51 volts. My truck runs better with the lower voltage. This topic is an example of what works for one person doesn't work for others. Doesn't make sense to me. Like the 180 stat, some get better gas mileage some don't.Sometimes finding better performance requires experimentation.wink wink.

Just performed the mod. Intially I was seeing .83V, now I am down to.734V. Haven't had a chance to test drive it but I don't notice a signifigant difference in the garage. Maybe the road will tell. Might a low voltage afterwards if I am not happy. It was a real slug at the .83V.
