Default dual exhaust issues????

Are there any issues with a true dual exhaust on a 2001 5.9?
Headers, dual cats, etc.

Idk about an 01, but the only thingI ran into an issue with was the rear 02 sensor not reading properly. If you put the o2s properly behind the cats, where they should be(unlike mine), I wouldnt suspect a problem

Ive herd these trucks dont like dual exhausts much, if you want duals they like SI/DO better.

After installing my SI/DO system I did feel a little difference in power... but not much.
I did drive it around with nothing after the cat just for fun, and it def ran better with the entire system.

If you build a true dual system I'd recommend putting an x-pipe or at the very least an h-pipe to equilize the pressures between the 2 sides.

Absolutely agree with the crossover pipe. It is just an essential if you are running a true dual. Without it, the exhaust will sound like ***, and you can lose power in certain power bands.

Not to hijack(sorry!!!) but I have a 99 Ram 4X4 with a 5.2 5-speed...Is it better to run duals or to oversize where it comes off the manifolds(say, about 3 1/2") then to split to duals?
