OK, I finally got my dream truck and my wife gave me the OK to get some wheels/tires for it. I've always wanted a truck with wheels and tires that stick out from the fender a bit and make the truck look awesome. Granted, I'm 32 now and it seems silly, but this is a teenage dream for me. The truck has 265/75R16 on it now (if I remember right) and I'm wanting a 15x10 wheel with 33x12.5's on it. Is that going to be possible without a lift of some sort? I don't do any off-roading, I just use the four wheel drive in winter. I can't afford to screw this up and buy the wrong tires/wheels. All I'm wanting is some plain jane black painted wheels. No chrome, no aluminum. I sure hope someone can help. I've got a big check coming this week to do this with and I'm eager to get it done. Thanks. http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...m/100_2245.jpg

Check out my post above this one...
Just put new wheels and tires on my truck and in all the research I did it came up over and over again that 15" wheels will not clear the brake calipers. I'll be the first to tell you that you should take it upon yourself to pull off a wheel and do your own measuring, but without grinding on the caliper I don't think 15's will fit.
I also just put 305's on my truck (12.1 section width) and I did TONS of research. I am not a tire expert but I feel confident saying it would be impossible to go any wider without a lift. My tires are really really close, and wider and they would rub for sure.

I will disagree that 15's won't fit. I put 15" wheels on my truck and they cleared the calipers. It is a 2001. Now there is very little clearance I'll admit but no rub marks on the wheels or grinding done at all. Might also be in the brand of wheel. See if you can find a place to that will let you test fit the wheel for clearance.
I borrowed a pair of 33 x 12.5 x 15s from my dad and the tiresdid rub on full turn with the suspension slightly flexed so I went with 32 x 11.5 when I bought tires. You could do a little trimming on the plastic fender liners and get them to clear though.

I ran 15 inch rims onmy 97 without rubbing on the breaks, my 32/11.5s did rub at full turn on the plastic fender liner. I switched back to the factory rims 50k later and added a 2 inch coil spacer, will be adding lift when these wear out in 15k or so let us know what you go with.
