17" off road wheels
By offset, I assume you mean the backspacing. I recently measured mine, and came up with 5.25" of backspacing. However, since then I discovered that I may have been measuring it wrong. Apparently, you are supposted to measure from the very outside edge of the lip, not from the flat area of the outside edge of the rim (which is just below and inside the lip). That being the case, it is going to be something closer to 5.5", but I don't think quit a full 5.5" because the lip is probably not 1/4" tall. Here is the pic I took of the measurement I did, and then an example of how your supposed to do it.
I can remeasure again the correct way this weekend when I have the wheels off again.

Hey Silver, check this link out. www.raceandroad.com/offset.asp
If you are going to have your wheels off and you don't mind, check and see if that info is there. That would be the easy way to find out. I am just curious because the rims I am looking at have an offset of 25mm.
Also, this is from discount tire direct's web-site.
Reading Wheel Sizes:
Example Size: 15x7 4-100 40S
15 - Rim diameter in inches.
7 - Width of rim in inches.
4-100 - Bolt Pattern.
4 - Number of lug holes in wheel. 100 - Distance between lug holes (in millimeters).
Some wheels have multiple bolt patterns.
15x7 4-100/108
This wheel fits cars with both 4-100 bolt patterns and 4-108 bolt patterns.
40S - Offset and finish
40 - Measures in millimeters how far back or forward the mounting surface (face) is from the center of the wheel.
S - Silver Finish.

So I was going to get this measurement for you while the tire shop was swapping tires tonight. When I went back, I noticed some damage to the bead on one of my BFG A/T's that came off the truck. After further inspection, I realized all the tires that came off my truck were damaged except for the spare. There was basically a section on each tire about 2" wide where the bead was torn away from the side wall. All four tires had it. Couple even had a chunk of rubber torn out of the bead area. The manager was trying to deny that his machine could have done that, but we finally went over to it and I found the pieces of rubber laying on the floor that had been torn out, perfect match to the holes missing on my tires. He didn't try to deny it anymore after that.. Long story short, I spent the rest of the time bickering with the manager about what he was going to do about it. We finally settled. I got all my new tires (including the spare) mounted and balanced for free, $140 value. Best deal I could get him to commit to. Since I was just going to try to sell my old tires on Craigslist, I doubt I would have gotten more then that for them. Saves me the time of having to sell them too. He finally admitted that the guy running the machine that takes the tire of the rim had only been there for about a week. This is a perfect example of why I hate letting anyone else touch my truck.
Anyway, the jist of the story is I didn't get your off-set measurement. By time I was done with the manager, the new tires were already on. Sorry.

Yeah I'am with you on taking it to someone as well. When somthing is not their own people just don't really care about it. Case in piont, my brother-in-law has a 98 1500 single cab. It has a special paint job that came from the factory. The bottom is black and fades to a dark maroon. Anyway, he took it somewhere(not sure what he was having done.) and they had it on a lift. When he got home later and washed it he saw that he had two new creases running across the roof just out of site stight if you are just standing next to it. And of course the shop had nothing to do with that. So every chance I have to watch what people are donig with my stuff I take advantage of it.
Also I think I'am going to stick with my stock rims for a while. My wife and I are going to start building another house soon so need to start saving as many pennies as possible.

After a week if that person can not figure out how the tire machine works then its time to flip burgers . nothing to it, hell we got a machine that doesnt even touch the rim , no scratches , no bent rims and no chunks out of tires...
