Default Brakes?

Is it me or am i the only one that seems like my truck doesnt have enough brake for the size ive got a 98 1500 5.9 extended cab and the brakes just suck even when i did everything new drums shoes rotors pads wheel cylenders ive done it all i was wondering if there is an upgrade for rear disc or something i can do to make it stop better

if you want to firm up the pedaland direct that force to the brake better, get a set of braid stainless steel brake lines. The rubber ones flex a lot when the brakes are stomped on.

For the rears there is an upgrade to a chevy or GMC 1 ton cylinder that'll cost you $40 and 3 hours time. Searchfor posts about 1 ton cylinders from a guy called The Burning Rom.

powerstop pads & cross drilled rotors... made a huge difference on my 2000 ram...

Yeah sounds good on those anyone no if the srt disc brakes can be converted to the 1500 series and anyone ever have a perportioning valve problem

for whatever reason, the upgrade to bigger wheel cylinders in the rear was a very temporary fix for me. after a couple weeks it seemed like the rear brakes didn't work at all anymore, like the abs remembers that every time i hit the brakes hard the rear tires would lock for an instant, then the RWAL would kick in.

thought the rears might just need to be adjusted a little tighter, no help there at all. wonder what pulling the abs fuse would do, would i get my much betterstopping powerback?
