I used the roll-on method for Herculiner on my JEEP. I did the entire inside flooring as well as the custom installed diamond plate box that I bolted on the back for secure storage. This was done about 2 years ago. The interior has held up quite well, only a couple of thin spots that have worn, but the box on the back that is always exposed to the sun has faded badly. It only lasted maybe 6 months at best. It is still coated well, but the nice black color has faded to a charcoal gray. It probably would have lasted longer if I had painted it, but one of the reasons I chose Herculiner is that I could do it myself and if any of the coating ever needed touch up, I could always get another can and quickly do it. As badly as the box has faded, it wouldn't look good at all to only touch up any areas, I would have to redo the entire box...NO THANK YOU on that one. Maybe I did something wrong during the process, but for the mess and time involved, not to mention the ruined clothes (I always seem to end up with more stuff on me than the project I'm painting/coating), I don't feel it is worth it to me to do this process over again.

I will be getting a liner coating in my truck bed at some point in time, but I will pay the extra and have someone else do it and it will be something else besides Herculiner. I think the Florida sun is just too much for it. Hopefully that's not the case for the other products as well.

I did my bed withHerculiner several years ago. I wouldn't recommend it. Anything that goes into the bed scratches it and it's fading/wearing off pretty badly. In fact I was washing the bed out a few days ago with one of those high pressure wands and could see where the Herculiner was being removed.
Regards, Glenn
PS. Yes I did prep it well.

i did my truck box this past summer with some cheap stuff from either walmart or autozone.. anyway i went cheap cause well i got the box for free it was rusting and white. but now it needs it again. the lid i constantly in the hot texas sun where it probably heats up to 150 or so in the direct light. its bubbled and faded and looks like poo. so dont go with just the cheap stuff spend some time and money on it.

let us know what you do and how it works, im getting tired of my drop-in liner
