Get a reman at the dealership, they come with a 3yr/36K warranty including labor.
BTW, valve bodies on the 42/44/46/47/48RE series transmissions are the biggest failing part period. We do a half dozen a month, maybe 1 tranmission. The valve bodies run 900.00 at the dealer level. I beleive Bully Dog has a rebuild with a shift kit for about 550.00.
