How much more of a difference will viper rockers make on my Indy?
Well I bought some viper rockers off a guy locally , they are off a 99 GTS and are 1.7's. What kind of modifications do I need to do to install these , if any modifications and what kind of difference will they make.
there is some contriversy(sp?) over this on if they work or not. Some people say the feel a difference and some people say it throws your valve train geometry off. As for the most part it's a bolt on application where you just unbolt your old rockers and bolt these on, but some say the are not the viper rockers don't have the right pivot point to give the magnum motors a true 1.7 ratio, and thus throwing off your geometry....but let me know if you do feel any difference, it's a cheap enough mod though...i may try it if your results are good
My understanding is that the Viper rockers are a direct swap, cheaper than the Harland Sharps or Crowers, but not quite the same performance as I don't think there the roller kind. There were a couple of threads on this a while back, try a search.

You will see a gain from the added ratio, just not quite the same as the others
