Default Need more help with stuck bolts...

Now the bolts holdin the fuel tank wont budge. And of course since the screw has to be 3x longer than necessary i dont have an impact socket that is long enough. [:@]Anyone got suggestions? I would take it to the shop but once i got it cranked it sputtered and died. No more fuel pump...

Where can i get some good air sockets? Advance doenst carry sheot....

I just did my fuel pump and the bolt was a bitch I used "Liquid Wrench" heavy duty Silicone Spray by GUNK

This worked but was still hard to get started at first good luck.

yea ive almost gone through a can of pb blaster. maybe time will tell.

Either raise or take the bed off. Only 6 or 8 bolts holding it on.

How long have you been at it? The liquid wrench trick has always worked best for me when it sits and soaks in. If I think I am going to need it I usually soak the connections the night before. If you just sprayed try waiting it out a while. If you alreay tried that I am out. short of breaking something.

CRC make a rust-penetrant called : POWER-LUBE. Trust me : the best I have ever seen. Better that PB Blaster.

i know snap-on and matco has them - i have a set of the matco ones

I saw some extra deep Husky Pros at HD the other day. Seems like all they sell around here is expensive sets anymore though, no single pieces. Maybe they've been getting robbed blind.

i found some at pep boys. i got one nut off, but the other one is right next to my carrier bearing [:@]looks like thats gonna have to come off in the mornin so i can get to it.
